7M Fibreglass walk around repowered with a new Mercury diesel marine engine with new Simrad electronics, vessel view instrumentation, new swim platform, trailer and windows.
The owners of this legendary Penguin walk around sent their boat 1370km down to Hitech Marine to have a major refit carried out.
A new under floor fuel tank was fitted plus the floor and stringers were strengthened up. Once the Mercury 3.0L V6 TDI turbo diesel was fitted along with the Bravo 3 drive the instrumentation was upgraded to 7" Mercury vessel view.
Navigation was taken care with a Simrad NSS 12" touch screen and the fish finding handled by a 1KW Airmar transducer.
A full width Aluminium swim platform was added plus Lenco trim tabs and a wiring upgrade by Hitech and BEP.
Hitech Marine finished off the upgrade with new windows and a brand new trailer.
On its initial water test the Mercruiser Diesel and drive moved this heavy WA hull from 5 to 37 knots in just 12 seconds and cruised at 21.7 knots using only 16.5 lph.
