Rope & Chain Kits

LSM stock more winch rope than any other drum winch manufacturer in Australia and carry up to 5000 spools at all times. We know drum winch rope. LSM stock 12 standard rope & chain configurations for easy customization for your winch model and anchoring requirements.

The Rope

All rope kits are double braid nylon (except for DRCx100, this is high spec). Connections are eye spliced and stitched for maximum strength. We supply 8mm tope shots with all 6mm rope kits for durability on the sea floor. For more information on rope varieties click here.

Breaking Strain

Each run of rope is batch tested to ensure the breaking strains are accurate. In this day and age some anchor winch suppliers will simply look at the breaking strain on their competitor’s rope and add 10-20% for marketability. Breaking strains on LSM supplied rope kits are noted in the chart below.

The Chain

LSM stock up to 15,000 meters of chain at any given time in 6, 8, and 10mm short link. All our short link chains are Grade L and comply with the DIN766/A Standard sizing, it is burr free for a smooth finish. Stainless Steel chain is also available as are higher grades and other sizes not listed.

The Kits

All LSM Rope and chain kits are packaged in house and include 316SS D-shackles.
